Biochemical mechanisms of protein ADP-ribosylation – Complete Phd and Masters Thesis

[ad_1]

Introduction

Protein ADP-ribosylation is a post-translational modification process that plays a crucial role in various cellular functions such as DNA repair, cell signaling, and gene expression. The attachment of ADP-ribose moieties to proteins is catalyzed by a family of enzymes known as ADP-ribosyltransferases. Despite its importance, the biochemical mechanisms underlying protein ADP-ribosylation are still not fully understood. This thesis aims to investigate the biochemical mechanisms of protein ADP-ribosylation in order to shed light on its role in cellular processes.
